  2026 MTHLA Bed Making Contest

  presented by 

   

  In conjunction with National Housekeeping Week, this high-energy, competitive event pits housekeepers from across Tulsa against one another- to see who can make the neatest and fastest bed!

  A fun way to honor Hotel's most hard-working employees.  Cash Prizes!

  Each housekeeper will be timed while making a bed as well as judged on overall neatness, smoothness and accuracy, i.e. bedspread straight, pillows tucked, corners tucked, smooth sheets and a mint on the pillow.

  Second Place: $75

  Third Place: $50

  
  

  The property with the most Team Spirit will receive $100 cash towards a pizza party.  Judges watch for enthusiasm and energy, sportsmanship, encouragement of others, creativity and expression.

  Up to 10 attendees: $100

  11 to 19 attendees: $150

  20 or more: $200

  Thursday, September 10 - power wash and replace boards on privacy fence. If you can help with this, please contact director@tulsahotels.org.  The RSVP for the majority of the work is for Friday activities:

  Stain privacy fence.  Lead - If you can be the point person, let us know! 

  Re-paint parking lot.  Lead- Stephanie Pomeroy

  Beautify the front gardens - Need someone to lead this project

  Replant fall flowers for the hanging baskets - need someone to lead this project

  Collect Guest supplies - Need someone to be the lead!

  Annual awards luncheon to recognize the Tulsa area’s top hospitality performers. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will rock you with their signature hospitality and we will make all nominees and winners feel special. Each member hotel can submit only one nominee per category. For example, one nominee for Housekeeping / Supervisory and one nominee for Housekeeping / Non-supervisory.  Judges will select a full service and select service winner. See details below.

  $35 per ticket or $250 per table of eight

  All nominees will be recognized with a certificate & a MTHLA Pineapple Pin.   Winners will receive an award plaque to proudly display in their work area.
